Fashion for Good asia-programme-
Dutch organisation, Fashion for Good, has announced the selection of seven new innovators to take part in the project’s fourth edition, the 2022 Asia Innovation Programme.
During an event in Mumbai, the organization’s brand and manufacturing partners chose the companies.
The nine-month programme will help participants scale their businesses by connecting innovators with key industry partners to accelerate piloting, implementation, and financing.
Priyanka Khanna, head of Asia expansion at Fashion for Good, said that they’re really excited to kick off their third year in Asia and continue to generate concrete impact in the region with the addition of these seven new inventions. The programme offers an opportunity to push the application of their ideas in the supply chain at scale by providing them with a platform to learn and grow, as well as linking them with major industry players.
AN Herbals, Fermentech Labs, and Sodhani Biotech from India, as well as Gaiacel from the United States, were among those chosen for their technology meant to bring a “positive disruption” to Asia. Unique dyeing solutions, pretreatment, and finishing from plant, forest, and agricultural waste are the focus of the four enterprises.
Meanwhile, Picvisa in Spain, Vaayu in Germany, and the UKHI Hemp Foundation in India are focusing on fostering raw material innovation and repurposing current materials.
