Farfetch launches luxury repair services in collaboration with The Restory

The leading British luxury fashion retailer Farfetch has partnered with aftercare platform The Restory to offer a luxury restoration service- Farfetch Fix. The main aim of this service is to support the circular economy and extend the life of our well-worn luxuries.

As per the estimate made in the announcement of Farfetch’s 2030 sustainability targets, by the end of the decade, the sale of ‘consciously made’, circular apparel would exceed that of the retailer’s traditional offerings.

The new initiative is aligned with the brand’s philosophy of empowering everyone to think, act and choose positively; and will allow the customers to get repaired their favorite designer items, including shoes, bags, and leather goods without any complicated registration process. The customer can book a collection for the items they wish to be restored directly on Farfetch’s website. Then the piece will be delivered to The Restory’s atelier where it will be analyzed and quoted by the experts for their recommended services. After approval from the customer, the piece will be restored and returned to a preferred address.

Vanessa Jacobs, the founder, and CEO of The Restory said that they have drawn the inspirations from Farfetch’s mix of excellence, purpose, and boldness. The mission of more thoughtful consumption on this scale, and to power the new Farfetch Fix platform, are the culmination of years of hard work. She also said that because of this partnership, she is proud of their team as this will help the global community of luxury enthusiasts to fall in love all over again with their favorites.

Tom Berry Farfetch’s Director of Sustainable Business added that this initiative is a part of Farfetch’s ethos, to make fashion more sustainable. He hopes that this partnership with The Restory will allow their customers to cherish their pieces for a little longer and will allow them to make thoughtful purchases.
