EuroCham Vietnam will host the green economy forum (GEFE) 2022

The Green Economy Forum & Exhibition (GEFE) 2022 will be held at Sala’s Thiso SkyHall in Ho Chi Minh City from November 28-30, 2022, by the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham Vietnam). The main purpose of the event is to assist Vietnam in meeting its COP26 obligations as well as the socio-economic development targets outlined in its National Green Growth Strategy for 2021-2030.

For three days of conferences, exhibits, and high-level B2B and B2G discussion sessions, as well as EuroCham Vietnam’s Green Business Awards and annual Gala Dinner, GEFE 2022 will bring together professionals in sustainable business and governance. The entire schedule of activities will serve as a forum for enhancing cooperation between European and Vietnamese business groups, as well as promoting a sustainable green Vietnamese economy via knowledge and technology transfer initiatives.

The plenary conference on the first day of GEFE 2022 will serve as a forum for high-level dialogue between European and Vietnamese government representatives and business stakeholders, with the goal of coordinating and holding discussions on green policy frameworks, and national energy plans, and climate risks in general.

Panel discussions and seminars on a wide subject will be held on each of GEFE 2022’s three days, including energy and green financing on the first day, waste and sustainability on the second day, and innovation and entrepreneurship on the third and final day. Each day will be broken into subtopics, with a total of more than 20 green sector themes covered.

Experts, academics, innovators, students, and government officials from Europe, Vietnam, and Southeast Asia will attend GEFE 2022. The event will be co-organized by EuroCham’s Green Growth Sector Committee and supported by the European Union Delegation to Vietnam, EuroCham’s nine affiliated national European business associations, European embassies, and governmental organizations, as well as the Vietnamese government and ministries.

EuroCham Vietnam and exhibition organizer Reed Tradex Vietnam signed an agreement of intent to work on the organization and planning of GEFE 2022, as well as future iterations of the event, in order to maximize the event’s potential.
