EU-based sustainable brands adopt HDWool’s apparel insulation

HD® Wool, based in Shipley, United Kingdom, has teamed up with a number of leading European brands to feature their revolutionary garment insulation in their Autumn/Winter 21 outerwear collection.

Developed for outdoor and lifestyle apparel, HD Wool garment insulation is 100% natural, renewable, and extremely long-lasting, with outstanding temperature control and moisture management capabilities.

It is aggressively encouraging farmers to begin the ReGenerative Agricultural process by having their land subjected to a yearly Ecological Outcome Verification conducted by the Savory Institute to demonstrate progress toward land-to-market goals. The wool used in HD Wool insulation can be traced all the way down to the farm where it was cultivated, thanks to The Woolkeepers, the company’s proprietary quality assurance platform.

Simon Whitmarsh-Knight, managing director of HD Wool Apparel Insulation, said that consumers are becoming more conscious of the materials used in the products they buy and how they influence the environment. As a result, companies like Purdey, 7L, and Hajk have included their insulation in important parts of their recent outerwear collections as an alternative to synthetics.

Purdey’s range of luxury, historical gear is crafted of the best materials and is based on British sporting roots. Its new men’s Pangbourne Gilet is entirely reversible and constructed of Drywax windproof and showerproof cotton with HD Wool insulation.

7L is a performance-first brand that combines fashion, function, and performance with style. The Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS) of the US Military serves as inspiration for the brand, which comprises numerous layer alternatives that can be worn in combination to give suitable protection in temperatures ranging from +40 to -60°C. The insulation is used in 7L’s Detonator insulated parka, which is modeled after the British Army’s battlefield jacket. This garment is made in the United Kingdom from materials sourced in the United Kingdom.

Hajk is a Swedish contemporary men’s clothing company that meticulously balances fashion, performance, and sustainability to complement an outdoor lifestyle. HD insulation is being introduced by Hajk in ARV, a three-layer lightweight and multifunctional jacket made entirely of sustainable materials.
