Elevate shares resources to make PPE

Burlington’s Maxima health cloths are getting a boost in the sister brand, Cone Denim, since the denim manufacturer transitions a portion of its loom capability to help Burlington produce PPE. The two Burlington and Cone belong to parent business Elevate Textiles.

Being part of this larger parent company has produced opportunities for Elevate’s manufacturers to”innovate and collaborate to serve apparel brands and others within the textile and apparel industry that are stepping up to produce lifesaving PPE,” states Steve Maggard, president of Cone Denim.

He said both technical teams have been working closely to transition some of the looms in Cone’s Yecapixtla performance in Mexico to produce Burlington medical cloths, together with production set to creep up this month.

Maxima medical cloths are engineered with yarns and constructions based on specified levels for ANSI/AAMI PB70 & EN13795 criteria. The cloth is reusable, and also the company said provides more assurance of being available when required and promotes a more sustainable solution longer-term.
