Türkiye-based knit fabric producer and textile exporter Ekoten Tekstil is integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into its manufacturing process to enhance fabric quality, reduce waste, and promote sustainability. The company’s AI-driven defect detection system is transforming production by improving accuracy and minimizing environmental impact.
As a subsidiary of Sun Tekstil, Ekoten Tekstil has implemented a real-time AI monitoring system that helps identify fabric defects early. This system not only ensures higher-quality products but also reduces material wastage and lowers the environmental footprint of textile production. The company’s AI technology helps detect defects at an early stage, reducing the need for re-dyeing and reprocessing.
Sabri Ünlütürk, Vice Chairman of Sun Tekstil and Ekoten Tekstil, stated: “Our AI-powered system helps us detect and fix textile defects early, preventing unnecessary reprocessing and reducing waste. This technology enhances both efficiency and sustainability in our production.”
