EDIT+
The North Face Korean’s Executive Director and CMO, Jean Sung has tackled everything from global strategizing to partnering with the 2018 winter Olympics. In February, Sung launched her own genderless apparel line called EDIT+.
She said that while putting together a collection she felt the need to fill the industry gap of style and functional clothing that was affordable to all. She created this collection hoping that it would be the go-to wear that has the ability to adapt to every need and yet remain fashionable and stylish.
Sung’s design ethics are rooted in her desire to combat climate change and encourage multi-faceted lifestyles. Her latest collection guarantees comfort for every season and activity.
The EDIT+ molecular collection has been designed to be trendy, provide comfort and fulfill functionality. She believes that this molecular collection will allow the users to customize their look depending on their weather protection needs and style preferences.
Sung is proud to announce that all the materials used in her collection are eco-friendly recycled materials. The EDIT+ marketing is based in Seattle with the manufacturing handled by a smart design factory in Seoul, South Korea. This intelligent supply chain allows Sung and her team to ensure standards of quality, ethicality and environmental friendliness. All the EDIT+ materials are crafted from locally sourced recycled or upcycled fabrics in a single factory. This ensures the reduction in carbon emission ordinarily generated by shipping products or textiles between manufacturers.
The EDIT+ appropriately gets its name from the customizable features built into every garment. The genderless Fall 2020 collection will be available on the EDIT+ website. 10% of the proceeds generated will be donated to reputable NGOs that focus on humanitarian and environmental social causes.
