Dr. Martens introduces reclaimed leather collection

Dr. Martens has launched a new collection, Genix Nappa, emphasizing sustainability by utilizing reclaimed leather sourced from leather offcuts, with prices starting at £140. The introduction of the reclaimed leather collection comes in response to customer demand for more sustainable options, marking a trial for the brand’s sustainability efforts.

Tuze Mekik Arguedas Schwank, the global head of sustainability at Dr. Martens, highlighted the brand’s meticulous material selection process in choosing low-impact and circular materials, ensuring durability while addressing leather waste.

As part of its sustainability endeavors, Dr. Martens offers the ReWair program in the U.S., allowing customers to exchange their worn-out products for a $20 voucher towards new shoes or bags.
