HyperTEC Laminates
Dimension-Polyant is expanding its X-Pac technical fabric portfolio with X-Pac hyperTEC, a new family of lightweight laminates developed for mountaineering, climbing, skiing and bikepacking applications. The range will make its European debut at Performance Days in Munich on 13–14 October, with the company presenting the first UX10 and UX20 sT constructions.
The laminates build on Dimension-Polyant’s expertise in high-performance sailcloth and use precision lamination techniques to combine a 100% Ultra-PE face fabric with X-Pac’s Ultra-PE X-Ply reinforcement. The construction provides inherent waterproofing while targeting high strength-to-weight performance.
UX10 is designed as the more versatile option, balancing low weight and durability, while UX20 sT is intended for higher-load applications and incorporates a polyester taffeta backing for improved handling, durability and opacity. Belgian bikepacking specialist Moga Bags is among the first commercial adopters of hyperTEC, with further brand collaborations under development.
Dimension-Polyant will also showcase X-Pac RX30 at Performance Days, a three-layer laminate made entirely from recycled materials. RX30 combines a post-consumer recycled polyester face fabric made from PET bottles with recycled X-Ply reinforcement and a recycled polyester film backing, alongside a non-fluorinated durable water-repellent finish.
