Dezire of India is the theme of the Expo of traditional pure silk and cotton products

The Silk Dezire of India was founded by a group of artisans, designers, social activists, academics and environmentalists, attempting to promote exquisite traditional skill, cotton and creations of the weavers and encouraging them to be contemporary and economically relevant. The Expo will be on till 3rd July.

The Organizer of the exibition, Suresh Kumar said that the main objective of the handloom exhibition was to promote weavers and encourage and provide a market to the handloom industry.

Tollywood actress Priyanka Raman inaugurated the exhibition and sale of traditional pure silk and cotton products at the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), at ECIL x roads, Kushaiguda on Sunday. Priyanka Raman said that platforms such as this were required to reach out women looking for well-designed handmade cotton, silk wear and exclusive home textile, together under one roof.

The exhibition showcases the products by the artisan from Shri Ramachandra weaver’s co-op societies.The theme of the exhibition is ‘Dezire of India’.
