Delta Galil Industries acquires Organic Basics

Global manufacturer and marketer Delta Galil Industries, Ltd. announced the acquisition of Organic Basics digital brand and related assets.

The brand founded in Denmark in 2015 by three young entrepreneurs, is recognized for its sustainably, ethically made women’s and men’s underwear, sportswear, and base layers.

Delta Galil intends to take this powerful brand to a global audience and expand the Organic Basics product range to include things for newborns and children, as well as other goods for women and men. Later this year, a new collection will be launched internationally.

Isaac Dabah, CEO of Delta Galil Industries, said that Organic Basics is a digital brand with sustainability and ethical manufacturing at its heart, and these ideals connect well with Delta Galil’s goal of developing a more sustainable fashion business via innovation. They see a big opportunity to extend the Organic Basics brand worldwide, notably in the United States and Europe, as well as to expand the product line to include things for the entire family. Its mission is to provide inexpensive, sustainable, organic products to consumers directly.

Organic Basics is a B Corp, Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified, and a member of ‘1% for the Planet.’ The company has a great reputation and following due to its use of sustainably, ethically produced, and certified materials, such as organic cotton and natural dyes, as well as its dedication to reducing its carbon footprint and environmental effect.

More than 75% of the materials used to make Organic Basics goods are plant-based and more than 15% are recycled. Women’s underwear, bralettes, sports bras, shirts, and socks are ultrasoft and comfy, as are men’s underwear and tees.

Delta Galil has spent the last several years actively expanding its e-commerce footprint by investing in its own digital services as well as via smart M&A deals.
