Crocs, Polartec and Vibram launch winter-ready Tembo II RO shoe

Polartec, a Milliken & Company brand, and Vibram, a global company known for high-performance rubber soles, have partnered with Crocs to launch the new Tembo II RO, a shoe designed for everyday outdoor use during the fall and winter seasons.

The new model builds on the Tembo design by combining Crocs’ distinctive style and Crocs Comfort construction with a Vibram rubber outsole and a fleece bootie made with Polartec Micro Series. The result is a warmer and more durable version of the Tembo with a slimmer shape that is closer to a traditional sneaker.

Polartec’s Micro Series fleece technology adds lightweight warmth and a soft feel to the new design. This allows the shoe to provide greater comfort in colder weather while keeping the recognisable appearance and feel of the Tembo.

The Vibram rubber outsole is designed to provide grip and durability. It uses Vibram XS TREK EVO, a technical rubber compound developed for stability, comfort and reliable traction across different surfaces and conditions. The Polartec bootie can also be removed for easy cleaning and attached again using a nylon ladder system. Together, these features give the original Tembo silhouette a more winter-ready design while maintaining the comfort and versatility associated with Crocs.

Crocs’ approach to off-road footwear is supported by its partnership with Vibram for a custom outsole focused on traction and durability, as well as Polartec’s fleece technology, which brings performance beyond traditional apparel.
