Crocs appoint Deanna Bratter as global head of sustainability

Crocs, Inc., a global leader in innovative casual footwear, has appointed Deanna Bratter as vice president, global head of sustainability. Bratter will be responsible for guiding the company toward its goal of becoming net-zero by 2030, as well as strengthening commitments and impacts in the areas of environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and corporate governance, according to the corporation (ESG).

Crocs CEO Andrew Rees, said that climate change is a pressing issue that necessitates an immediate and effective response. They are confident that Deanna’s deep experience and expertise will help Crocs achieve its ambitious sustainability goals. As a brand that invites everyone to be comfortable in their own shoes, we have an equal responsibility to ensure they’re doing their part to create a more comfortable world.

Bratter joins Crocs after serving as vice president of sustainable development/one planet.one health at Danone North America. Bratter previously oversaw corporate sustainability for WhiteWave Foods, where he was responsible for the company’s sustainability efforts, yearly CSR and ESG reporting, and assisting in the creation of a values-driven culture.

Crocs announced a plan to minimize its carbon impact and become a more sustainable brand overall in July 2021. The firm went on to say that the brand has already made strides in a number of areas, including a switch to sustainable ingredients across all of its product lines.

Bratter said that he is pleased about the opportunity to apply my experience in establishing more sustainable systems and their obligations and create a more sustainable and comfortable world for everybody.

Bratter is a University of South Florida graduate who has also completed sustainability certification programs at Harvard Business School and the University of Denver.
