Craftsvilla and co-optex join traditional ties

Craftsvilla, an online ethnic store and marketplace to various Handmade, Vintage, Ethnic, Organic and Natural products from India has joined hands with the Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers’ Co-operative Society,Co-optex.

This handloom society deals with products ranging from Silk sarees, Cotton sarees, Silk-cotton sarees, Home furnishings, Churidhar materials, Dhotis, Petticoats and all handloom products etc.

With the addition of Co-optex products on the online platform, Craftsvilla has further strengthened its handloom portfolio which already consists of Pochampalli Silk, Ikat, Banarasi, Tussar and Jamdani weaves amongst others.

Commenting on the partnership, Manoj Gupta, co-founder Craftsvilla, said, that Craftsvilla is deeply committed to development of artisans in India and disruptively change artisanal supply chain from origin to consumption. They believe that billions of dollar of business value to artisans across

India can be unwrapped by interventions across design, quality, big scale manufacturing and logistics. They have identified close to ten major clusters in India which they will develop for their ethnic supply.

Co-optex will play a very crucial role for development of their cluster in Tamil Nadu for handloom products. They are very excited to partner with them to produce ‘Make in India’ products for global consumers.

Talking about the association, managing director of Co-optex T N Venkatesh said that they are indeed grateful to join hands with Craftsvilla.

According to him, the association has opened up numerous opportunities and a chance to connect with consumers from across the world.
