Corza Medical opens biomedical textiles innovation lab

Corza Medical, a global leader in surgical technology and medical device components, has announced the opening of its new Biomedical Textiles Innovation Lab. This modern facility is designed to help OEM partners quickly design, test, and improve textile-based medical products.

Located in Taunton, UK, the facility is equipped with advanced testing tools and supported by a skilled team of textile development experts, helping reduce development time and speed up product launches.

“Our Innovation Lab shows our commitment to providing our OEM partners with speed, precision, and quality,” said James Getty, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Biomedical Textiles at Corza Medical. “By combining prototyping, testing, and engineering in one place, we make it possible for our customers to move from concept to market faster than ever.”

The lab can handle a wide variety of textile-based medical products, using both absorbable and non-absorbable high-performance materials such as Nylon, Silk, Polypropylene, Polyester, and Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE). From complex designs to basic suture assemblies, the facility meets diverse OEM requirements. Corza Medical also offers one of the most extensive material science portfolios in the industry, supporting advanced solutions in medical attachment, suturing, and connectivity.
