Cone Denim launches Mission Zero Collection with Jeanologia

Jeanologia keeps its “Mission Zero” target alive by collaborating with Cone Denim to create a sustainable line ‘Road to Mission Zero Collection.’

Blue jeans have had a long history of importance, but their widespread success and adoption have sadly resulted in some harmful effects, such as excessive use of water, chemicals, energy, or carbon footprint.

CEO of Jeanologia, Enrique Silla said they strongly believe that people and the environment come first, which is why they’ve agreed to embark on a monumental mission: to remove all pollution from denim from the cloth to the textile by 2025. Mission Zero is both feasible and necessary.

On the occasion of World Earth Day, Cone Denim Mills and Jeanologia will present the first Road to Mission Zero collection at Kingpins24, a collection that features legacy, sustainability, and creativity from the fabric to the finish.

Cone Denim Flash Finish fabrics finished with G2 Dynamic ozone technology was used to contribute to the Mission Zero objective. These fabrics are very susceptible to lasers and have a strong response to eco-technologies, making them an environmentally friendly alternative to one of the most water and polluting fabric finishing methods.

Jeanologia was founded in 1994 and now manufactures more than 35 percent of the world’s 5 billion jeans per year, earning the confidence of the industry’s leading brands.

Cone Denim, on the other hand, has been a denim innovator for over 130 years and advocates sustainable practices through its fabrics. It is part of Elevate Textiles, Inc., which has production facilities in Mexico and China as well as a national network of distribution, product, and merchandising experts in Greensboro, North Carolina, New York, San Francisco, and Hong Kong.
