Coloreel wins Fashion Innovation Award for its instant thread coloring technology

Swedish textile innovation brand, Coloreel, has won a Fashion Innovation Award for its instant thread coloring technology. The Stockholm Fashion District has given the textile innovation brand the Encouragement for Action award in the area of Fashion Innovation.

According to the Stockholm Fashion District, the Fashion Innovation category is given each year to a firm that has “gazed a little farther into the future” and, through innovation, contributed to a more sustainable fashion sector.

Coloreel’s embroidery technique allows for on-demand coloration of textile thread, assisting the textile industry in moving toward more sustainable production. There is no wastewater, hence no water pollution, because the thread is dyed directly. Thread waste and microfibre contamination are also reduced by utilizing a single spool of thread and needle.

Torbjörn Bäck, the company’s newly-appointed CEO, said that Coloreel’s receipt of the coveted Encouragement for Action Fashion Innovation Award is just another example of how their ground-breaking technology for modern, creative, and sustainable embroideries has a positive influence. Even the tiniest embellishments, such as embroideries, are crucial to consider in the fashion industry’s drive for a more sustainable future.

Coloreel has announced a partnership with D-house, which will see its technology exhibited at D-design house’s and technology centers for fashion businesses in Milan, Italy.

Bäck said that the D-house cooperation is a fantastic chance for Coloreel to exhibit its technology, and for the fashion industry to understand how to improve customer experience and perception of their brands by introducing a new level of modern, creative, and sustainable embroidery. D-central house’s position in Milan, as well as their experience managing design projects, will serve as an ideal center for diverse customers to have hands-on experience with Coloreel technology.
