Canada goose launches Humanature platform to enforce sustainable initiatives

Canada goose has launched a new purpose platform that brings sustainable and value-based initiatives to every stage of the company’s operations.

The platform has been termed Humanature and will be initiating the force behind the brand’s commitments. The commitments included as a part of the platform include the Sustainable Impact Strategy to keep the planet cold, and philanthropic attempts designed to build culture and invigorate communities.

Dani Reiss, the Canada Goose president and chief executive officer, stated that the role of the business has evolved in today’s world, and driving a meaningful change was as important as the company’s identity. He added that they are steadfast in their commitment to strengthening their communities, providing the planet protection and working towards a future for generations to come. He stated that since 1957, they have been trusted to protect people from the elements and to keep them warm and now through their new platform Humanature, they are taking warmth to an even deeper societal level.

The warmth the company aims to give the society is both literal and metaphorical with the launch of this new platform. Canada Goose’s commitment to reach net-zero direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions by 2025, abolishes the utilisation of single-use plastics in all owned or controlled facilities by the end of this year. This is a set target by the Sustainable Impact Strategy in Canada Goose’s commitment.

The Humanature platform also houses the brand’s sustainable steps such as its Standard Expedition Parka, produced from recycled and undyed fabrics, lining and interlining, which is also a 100% responsibly sourced down and reclaimed fur.
