BRCM launches jacket with eVent’s AlpineST fabric

Big Rock Candy Mountaineering (BRCM) is incorporating eVent Fabrics’ new alpineST laminate, an advanced, low-impact, high-performance material, into its latest outerwear piece, the Dawn Wall jacket.

The alpineST laminate is a three-layer fabric that offers long-lasting waterproof protection and a high moisture vapor transfer rate (MVTR), ensuring breathability and durability. Made with recycled materials, a PFAS-free membrane, and a C0 DWR finish, it delivers top-tier performance with minimal environmental impact.

BRCM’s signature style combines heritage mountaineering aesthetics with modern materials. The Dawn Wall jacket features a 100% recycled nylon outer layer for abrasion resistance and a recycled polyester inner lining for breathability and comfort. Functional details include dual top and side-entry pockets, two chest pockets, a waterproof zipper, and adjustable drawstring hem and hood.

“Our collaboration with BRCM reflects major trends in outdoor gear, brands are prioritizing sustainability and revisiting classic designs rooted in quality and craftsmanship,” said Chad Kelly, president of eVent Fabrics. “Boutique innovators like BRCM are blending nostalgia with next-gen performance.”
