Birla Cellulose enticed to expand its footprints in Bangladesh

Birla Cellulose, an Aditya Birla Group’s umbrella brand for its range of cellulosic fibers after organizing a technical symposium on “Current Trends in Viscose Processing” in Dhaka recently, which was attended by leading global brands, readymade garment exporters, fabricators, spinners and designers who form the fulcrum of the Bangladesh clothing and textile industry, wants to increase its footprints in Bangladesh.

Rajeev Gopal, Chief Marketing Officer of Birla Cellulose who addressed the symposium and shared various collaborative initiatives of Birla Cellulose for business growth, said that the company is interested to launch in Bangladesh, the unique knowledge sharing initiative, Liva Accredited Partner Forum (LAPF) with the entire value chain partners which includes spinners, knitters, weavers, processors, and garmneters, according to a press release of the company.

Manohar Samuel, President Business Development and Branding of Birla Cellulose, shared the business development and other supports offered by the company to the value chain partners.

Bangladesh Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, who was the Chief Guest at the symposium, highlighted the rich heritage of Bangladesh and the importance of textile and RMG Industry in the country.

He also emphasized the need for design and product innovation, sustainability in operations and consumer value creation in the competitive world.

At the Technical Session of the symposium, D G Neogi, and Mr Sushil Hada discussed various current trends in viscose spinning as well as in wet processing.
