A big industrial centre of textiles TAYAL to upcoming on the site of the new industrial park Sidi Kettab a town and commune in Relizane Province, Algeria over an area of 250 hectares in Algeria which will involve an investment to the tune of DZD155 billion and generate about 25,000 jobs. The project is outcome of an Algerian-Turkish partnership, CEO of State-owned Group Confection et Habillement (CH) Ahmed Benayad said.
Created in December 2013, under the appellation “l’Algérienne du sport’s wear” (TAYAL), this Algerian-Turkish joint venture, 51% of which is held by the Algerian side through CH group (30%) and the Algerian public company of textiles TEXALG (21%) while 49% is held by the Turkish company Intertay, a subsidiary of the Turkish group TAYPA.
The centre of textiles TAYAL will be built in two stages. In a first stage, eight integrated plants, specialized in the manufacturing of denim fabric, netting and other types of fabrics as well as the making of shirts and jeans, will be implemented over an area of 100 hectares.
This first stage, which will spread over a period of 36 months, will see the construction of a business centre, a big training school, houses for the staff, showrooms and spaces for leisure.
While in the second stage of the project on the remaining 150 hectares, about ten other plants, specialized in the production of household linen, clothing accessories and non-woven fabric, will be constructed.
