Ba&sh launches resell platform in US

French luxury label Ba&sh, has become the most recent brand to enter the resale market with the introduction of a used offer in the US market.

Customers are invited to participate in the circular lifetime of pre-owned items through “Ba&sh Second Hand” by using the new user-friendly system.

According to a press release, the unique site, created using the resale platform Archive, has fewer listings than other resellers, which gives sellers less competition and gives buyers a simpler experience.

It expands on Ba&sh’s continuous circularity initiatives, as the company introduced a similar reselling program in France last year.

The company claims the effort was a huge success, with high supply and demand occurring within the first two months. The US-based venture, like its French counterpart, will allow merchants to market secondhand Ba&sh items for 50% of their original price.

Once sold, clients have the option of redeeming their earnings for either the whole amount in brand credit or 70% cash.

Next month, Ba&sh will also test an omnichannel component of the program, offering its VIP retail clients in a few locations a deluxe, white-glove service.

Related customers will be able to drop off any used Ba&sh items at a local store, and the business will subsequently resale them for them via Archive, first beginning with the retailer’s New York locations.

Desiree Thomas, CEO of Ba&sh North America, said they are so excited to finally be launching their resale program in the US – the program’s success in France has proven that their customers care deeply about circularity and sustainability, and it’s a core part of their strategy moving forward.
