Avgol India to invest Rs223 cr to set up non-woven fabric unit in Mandideep

M/s Avgol India, a leader in global hygiene market with the most comprehensive range of ultra lightweight spun-melt non-woven fabrics with capital investment of Rs 223 crore will be setting up a non-woven fabric unit in industrial area in neighbouring Mandideep.

A rebate will be provided to M/s Avgol India on project proposal as per the Industrial Policy for setting up non-woven fabric unit. This was decided in a Cabinet committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan yesterday, on investment promotion, an official of the Public Relation Department said.

Minister for Finance Jayant Mallaiya, Minister for Industries and Commerce Rajendra Shukla, Minister for Water Resources and Public Relations Dr Narottam Mishra, Minister for Revenue Umashankar Gupta, Minister for Energy Paras Jain and Chief Secretary Anthony DeSa among others were present in the meeting.

Facilities will also be provided to M/S Amba Shakti industry, being set up in industrial area Bamor, with capital investment of Rs 113.43 crore, as per 2010 Industrial Policy.

It also decided that a total of 22.778 hectare land will be given to M/S Trident Ltd in Budhni in Sehore district at 25 percent rate for composite textile project for basic and social infrastructure.

Besides, the committee also decided to go for open auction for 1.86 hectares land notified in Crystal IT SEZ in Indore after fixation of base value.

Avgol will be the innovative partner of choice leading the spun-melt non-woven hygiene market. They will drive innovation, quality and deliver service excellence.
