Artistic Milliners advances sustainable denim dyeing

Artistic Milliners (AM) has expanded its portfolio of sustainable denim dyeing technologies with the latest developments in its Ice Breaker, Dolce Vita, and Code Oxide platforms, offering brands new opportunities to combine creative design with lower environmental impact.

The company announced that its Ice Breaker technology has evolved to support a full color gamut, significantly broadening the range of sustainable coloration options available to denim manufacturers. The expanded capability enables brands to achieve diverse color palettes while maintaining environmentally responsible production processes.

Complementing this advancement is Dolce Vita, a finishing technology designed to maximize visual appeal and fabric texture while minimizing the use of water, chemicals, and other production resources. According to Artistic Milliners, the technology delivers distinctive crisp tones that allow brands to refresh existing collections and extend popular product lines without requiring major design changes, providing both commercial and sustainability benefits.

The company has also introduced Code Oxide, a next-generation denim coloration technology that eliminates the need for traditional indigo dye. Built around a proprietary zero-indigo dyeing architecture, the process enables highly detailed and customizable wash effects while maintaining a significantly lower environmental footprint than conventional indigo dyeing methods.
