ANTA Guanjun launches sportswear with merino wool

ANTA Guanjun has introduced Merino wool into professional-level sportswear, showing increased trust in the fiber’s technical strength and reliability. Instead of being seen only as a lifestyle fabric, Merino wool is now recognised for its ability to perform in intense sporting conditions.

ANTA Guanjun’s recent release of a trail running collection made entirely from Merino wool shows how this demand is shaping new products. The range was launched at the Hong Kong 100 Ultra Trail Race, where professional athletes wore specially designed Merino wool garments during long-distance races in tough weather conditions.

In these extreme environments, Merino wool helped regulate body temperature, manage moisture and reduce odour, supporting comfort over extended periods of physical effort. Using the fibre in such high-level competition highlights the brand’s confidence in Merino wool as a serious performance material for elite sportswear.
