An Italian producer of textile laboratory equipment, Mesdan-Lab division of Mesdan introduces Aqualab

The Mesdan-Lab division is devoted to the development and marketing of Laboratory equipment manufactured according to major international testing standards. It’s product portfolio includes a complete range of equipment for the testing and the quality control of fibres, yarns, fabrics, garments, nonwovens and technical textiles. Mesdan is well known in the textiles industry for its yarn splicers, knotters and laboratory equipment.

It’s yarn joining range ensure the knot-free production of high quality yarns at all stages of textile processing, with Jointair, Aquasplicer, Hot-Jointair and Mositair employing air, water vapour, heating and wrapping techniques depending on the yarn and process.

Mesdan-Lab division of Mesdan, an Italian producer of textile laboratory equipment, introduces Aqualab, a fresh instrument based on low frequency microwave technology designed for an instantaneous and accurate assessment of regain, moisture content and commercial weight in textiles.

According to the manufacturer, it allows high volume control of moisture throughout every stage of the textiles chain, and the main features are: sample weighting not required ,fast (just few seconds for each test),correlation with traditional oven drying system (Delta 0,999) ,non- destructive method (no material waste) ,maintenance free, no parts wear ,no calibration needed, low energy consumption (only 0,1Kwh versus 8Kwh of a traditional regain oven) simple operation, no skill required to use Aqualab ,ITMF and ICCTM recognized.

The ITMF International Committee on Cotton Testing Methods (ICCTM) gave full recognition to Aqualab during the International Bremen Cotton Conference in 2014. The IWTO accreditation is under process.
