AMANN Group of Germany show interest in setting up textile unit in WB

The 160 years old AMANN Group of Germany one of the leading international manufacturers of high-quality sewing and embroidery threads has shown keen interest in setting up a large textile unit which will manufacture specialized threads in West Bengal, said Sanjeev Grewal, Regional Director of Amann Group of Germany.

The Bengal Government has asked its MSME department to facilitate linking it with the private textile manufacturers of the state. The Bengal MSMET Department will facilitate linking with private textile manufacturers of Bengal.

The textile industry of Kolkata plays a significant role in the economy of the capital city of the state. Apart from that this industry even contributes to the industrial output, export and employment sectors of the city.

An interaction was organized by Government of West Bengal, Consulate General Munich, BVMW and FICCI in Munich on Thursday.

The interaction was attended by Senator H.C. Zaki Kursun, GM, East West, a large importer of home furnishing textiles said that he is highly interested in sourcing from Bengal.

AMANN’s headquarter is located in Bönnigheim, Germany and produces sewing and embroidery threads at its own production sites in Europe and Asia exclusively. Their technical expertise, reliability and flexibility of production and service make them a strong partner worldwide.
