AEPC set up new incubation centre in Gurugram

The Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) in collaboration with 3M, Association of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Alumni set up new incubation facility which was recently inaugurated. The facility will be a platform for the startups to connect with the investors as well as mentors that could help them achieve efficiency in the production.

The centre to act as a launch pad for the startups – Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), a release from the council informed.

The facility besides training and mentoring, it will also provide information to the industry with regard to creation of new knowledge, fashion trends, marketing techniques and management.

Ashok Rajani, Chairman of the Apparel Export Promotion Council said that textile and clothing sector contributes to over 5 percent in country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

It is important to handhold the units to stand as well as to face the global market and competition, with the facility in place, AEPC aims to achieve the same,
