American Eagle x Aerie
AEO Inc.’s brands, American Eagle and Aerie, have launched their first-ever collaborative collection, “A Match Made in Denim.” This limited-edition athleisure line, inspired by AE’s best-selling jeans, combines the softness and stretch of Aerie products with denim aesthetics. The 34-piece collection includes items like sports bras, leggings, dresses, and swimwear, featuring innovative technologies such as cool transfer for denim effects and special dyeing techniques.
Jennifer Foyle, president and executive creative director for both brands, highlighted the blend of iconic American Eagle jeans and the softness of Aerie intimates achieved through advanced technology. The collection features unique design elements such as printed trompe-l’œil pockets and unfinished hems, offering a nostalgic ’90s denim look across various garments. Accessories like hats, scrunchies, and sneakers complement the apparel.
The collection aims to capitalize on the current “denim dressing” trend, reflecting consumer shopping habits. Foyle emphasized the synergy between the two brands, noting that this collaboration is the first of several planned launches in the coming months, showcasing their best-selling categories during a strong jeans cycle.
