15th Textile Asia Trade Fair 2016 to kick off tomorrow

A three-day 15th Textile Asia-International Textile & Garments Machinery Trade Fair is schedule to begin on Wednesday March 9th, 2016. The event is described as the country’s biggest fair of textile, garment, embroidery, digital printing machineries and chemical and allied services.

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony of the event being organized jointly by Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) and Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan will be performed by Federal Minister of Commerce Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan. Textile Asia Conference 2016 is also scheduled to be held on Wednesday.

According to PRGMEA’s central chairman Shaikh Muhammad Shafiq, the focus of the trade fair will be the textile industry’s value addition for increasing export of value-added textile and garments. Over 65,000 people, belonging to trade and corporate sector, and a large number of foreign delegates, are expected to visit the fair where over 550 international brands will display their products at 700 booths.

President of Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan, Dr Khursheed Nizam, said that 15th Textile Asia is the only UFI (Paris) approved textile trade fair in South Asia.

The fair with its immense buying and selling potential for textile, garment and allied industries, is poised to introduce accessories, textile and garment industry of Pakistan to overseas suppliers of textile and garment materials, besides assisting them in developing their business in the export markets.

The Textile Asia Trade Fair will run from 9th March to 11th March at the Expo Centre in Karachi.
