Viscose yarn price dips amid insipid trade in China

In Jiangsu, 40s compact sirospun yarn prices fell US cents 3 a kg in the first week of June while 30s spun viscose in Xiaoshan remained unchanged on the week.

Spun viscose yarn markets turned insipid in China, seeing prices for ring-spun yarn, vortex-spun yarn and siro-spun yarn drop to some extent.

Fabric makers in Shaoxing and Guangdong lowered run rates to some extent as Dragon Boat Day holidays were drawing near, thus demand receded.

Fabric makers were still in off season, and sentiment is expected to remain bearish after the Dragon Boat Festival.

In India, VSF prices remained firm to support viscose yarn markets while export demand was robust. 30s viscose spun yarn prices were up US cents 2 a kg (due to strong INR) in Indore market.

In Pakistan, viscose yarn makers retained previous week’s offers and prices in spot markets rolled over. 35s viscose yarn prices were stable and 40s were unchanged in Karachi market.
