Polyester yarn prices stable to up in Asian markets

In China, offers for 32s polyester yarn in Shengze inched up US cents 2 a kg in the second week of April. In Qiangqing, 32s weaving yarn prices gained US cents 3 a kg on the week.

Polyester spun yarn market in China was steady for the moment and offers for 32s and 45s were up, with the latter seeing moderate sale. However, spun yarn industry entered a slack season and if the market weakens continuously, producers will show low interest to replenish inventories, and most of them will produce to meet rigid demand.

In India, polyester yarn prices continued to roll over, despite PSF prices were revised down early in the month.

In Pakistan, polyester yarn prices rolled over in domestic markets as PSF prices stopped declining, but were pegged down in US$ terms.
