Cooperated with science research institutes and colleges over several years, we realize the industrialization of the production of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene fibers (UHMWPE fibers) We are the 1st company in China to successfully developing Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene/Carbon Nano Tube (UHMWPE/CNTs) composited fiber and Unidirectional (UD) fabric. After adding the carbon nano tubes could significantly improve creep and heat resistance of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber. | Product Description | UHMWPE fibers feel smooth due to their low friction coefficient, its low density enables it to float on water. The water absorption in the fiber is negligible. Polyethylene is an insulator and has no groups with dipole character. After scouring, the UHMWPE fiber is characterized by a high electrical resistance, low dielectrical constant and a very low dielectrical loss factor. UHMWPE fibers are visually opaque, the fiber is invisible to an UV-light source due to the low UV absorption coefficient in combination with no fluorescence or phosphorescence. It is also invisible for thermal imaging devices because of its low IR absorption coefficient and high thermal conductivity. The low reflectivity of radar waves results in a high transparency for radar sources. The refractive index axial to the fiber axis differs from the transverse direction making the fiber perform birefringence. UHMWPE fibers have a high strength and a high modulus(resistance against deformation) in the fiber direction. In combination with the low density this results in an extremely high strength on weight basis make it one of the strongest man-made fibers. The elongation at break is relatively low, but owing to the high strength, the energy to break is high. In contrast to other synthetic fibers, the mechanical properties are not influenced by the presence of water. |

Low Conductivity: UHMWPE fibers has lower dielectric constant and loss tangent,so it is often used in high-frequency radio waves. The main applications of UHMWPE fiber About Defence: UHMWPE fiber especially suitable to be bullet-proof jackets, helmets and bullet-proof armor and other. It has been replaced Kevlar in the field of bullet-proof, It also has been widely used in the production of flexible bullet-proof vests and bullet-proof steel plate material.
