Alidhra group of Industries, makers of man-made yarn processing machinery, was founded in 1975, in Surat by Hansraj A Gondalia, who started by making various electronic textile controls for Art-Silk Industry.

The huge success had him started building up various SSI units around Surat, and that is when he was joined by Vallabhbhai Thumar, and Babuhbai Bhagat. Together the three of them focused on meeting ever increasing demands of Textile Industry for yarn processing and other weaving machineries.

The group is today having a turn over of 600 million rupees, and is known for its progressive track record on technology front, and the ability to design, develop and market Hi-Tech machineries. It is proud of the fact that is is the only Indian organisation to manufacture Hi-Tech machines without any foreign collaboration or technical assistance. It is a feather in the cap of the group, for a place on the world map for its brand "ALIDHRA" which is the first Indian Organisation registered as principal manufacturer of Draw Texturising plants. The group is also approved for finance by all State Finance Corporations, IDBI, SIDBI, ICICI, all Co-operative, Scheduled and Nationalised Bankers, for Term Loan and DPG facility.

The group is also engaged in successfully running several textile SSI units, and produce 10 Lac Mtrs of Polyester Jacquard fabrics every month. These various SSI units contribute about 1000 million rupees to the group's turnover.
