Viscose yarn price inches up amid stable demand

In China, 30s spun viscose prices were rolled over in the first week of October while 40s compact sirospun yarn prices in Jiangsu were up US cents 2 a kg on the week.

Spun viscose yarn offers inched up in China amid unchanged demand and modest sales. Siro-spun yarn market was also stable and discussions and offers inched up with modest orders. Upstream VSF prices moderated slightly that week which may reflect in prices of some regular spec yarn next week.

In Pakistan, many spinning mills were shifting production to blend viscose with polyester, supporting VSF prices to remain firm. As a result, viscose spun yarn prices remained unchanged since early September.

In India, viscose yarn price rolled over as VSF prices were still flat on the week.
