In Shengze, offers for 32s polyester yarn dropped US cents 5 a kg in the last week of March. In Qiangqing, 32s weaving yarn offers fell US cents 4 a kg on the week.
Polyester spun yarn market in China softened that week, and offers fluctuated with a slight drop. Spot prices weakened somewhat that week, while transaction did not change much. After the Tomb-sweeping Day, it is likely that there will be some buying activity provided fabric market does not weaken too much.
In Pakistan, polyester yarn makers are seeing some respite in margins as prices did not move in March while PSF prices have dropped consistently during the same time.
In India, polyester yarn price continued to inch down after PSF prices were revised down in early March. Demand remained weak both in domestic as well as export markets. Polyester yarn 30 knit yarn prices edged down INR1 a kg (down US cent 1) in Ludhiana market.
