In India, polyester fiber prices have risen in the third week of February with for 1.4D PSF up INR1 after falling INR 2 in early December.
Polyester yarn 30 knit yarn prices gained INR2 a kg (up US cent 1) in Ludhiana market while they gained INR1 a kg (up US cent 1) in Indore.
In Shengze, offers for 32s polyester yarn were at US$1.55-1.58 a kg, and 45s at US$1.72 a kg. In Changyi, offers for 32s were steady during the week.
Polyester yarn producers resumed operation slowly after the Lunar New Year holidays in China and some rigid demand will probably emerge.
Spun polyester yarn prices were stable and some small parcels were sold. In Shengze and Changyi, offers for spun polyester yarn were steady as few mills resumed operation, and only some deals were concluded.
In Pakistan, polyester yarn pricing remained unchanged despite fall in PSF cost in the previous week. 30s spun polyester prices remained unchanged on the week.
