Nylon price inches up in China

In China, FDY70D/24F SD prices rose US cents 3 a kg in the third week of June, while FDY40D inched up US cents 2 a kg on the week. DTY prices were flat.
Nylon filament yarn prices marched higher although nylon chip cost eased a bit while caprolactum prices remained flat. Downstream converters maintained stable operation and demand was moderate with off season drawing near.

Warp knitting, weaving and AJ covering sectors operated stably while circular?knitting mills and lacing mills were still operating at half their capacities, implying modest demand for nylon yarn.

In non?textile sectors, fishing?net yarn, staple fiber and cord fabric makers made some procurement due to lean inventory.
