Nylon becomes cheaper this season

In China, nylon FDY70D/24F SD prices fell US cents 2 a kg in the second week of April while FDY40D was down US cents 2 a kg as compared to last week. Nylon DTY prices were stable and 30D/10F were also unchanged on the week.

Monofilament 30D prices were steady while nylon staple fiber 1.5D prices rolled over during the week.

Nylon filament yarn prices edged down in tandem with insipid chip market and modest demand during the week. Demand was moderate that week as textile makers kept high rates. Buying sentiment was cautious given dented confidence and fewer new orders. Demand for FDY, DTY and POY may diminish in the future.

Overall, nylon market will range bound in coming weeks.
