Caprolactum price becomes dearer in Asia

Asian caprolactum markers, the SE and FE were up US$20 a ton in the third week of July which ended on 22nd July 2016. In China, offers for liquid spot were up US$50 a ton while solid goods offers also rose US$50 a ton on the week. Sinopec raised its July nomination which was up US$35 a ton for liquid goods while Fibrant’s July nomination were stable for liquid goods.

Caprolactum prices edged up that week on moderate demand and tight supply while cost support eased slightly that week letting margins to increase. In China, offer for liquid goods in spot market were quoted 4% higher while mainstream values for solid goods were raised 2.5%.

In contracts, Sinopec raised its July nomination and announced settlement similarly high. Fibrant Chemical retained its nomination for July on the week. High end imported goods for July were not announced.
