Blended yarn price rolls over in Asian markets

In China, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices rolled over in Qianqing in the last week of April, while 45s PC combed yarn prices were flat on the week.

Blended spun yarn prices stayed relatively unchanged in the week in China over a similar stability of fiber prices. On the import market, offers were seen plunging, in return, creating competition for domestic suppliers. However, stable to week fibre prices remained supportive for local spinners.

In Pakistan, PC and PV yarns stayed rather unchanged in the week reflecting stability of fiber prices. PSF prices remained frozen while VSF prices were unchanged given the recent bottoming of prices in China.

In India, blended yarn markets were quiet and prices mostly rolled over with some edging down seen in PC yarn, largely reflecting the recent fall in cotton prices in domestic markets.
