Blended yarn price remains stable in Asian markets

In China, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices remained unchanged in the third week of May in Zhejiang, while 45s PC combed yarn prices rolled over on the week. Blended yarn prices moved in tandem with the recent changes in fibre prices. In China, PC yarn prices rolled over reflecting firm cotton prices while PSF prices stopped declining, even bottoming out in the week.

In Pakistan, PC yarn prices remained flat in the week, in line with the firmness in cotton prices although PSF was cheaper in recent weeks. PV yarn prices declined with the sharp fall in VSF prices on the domestic market. Demand was subdued for finer count yarns due to a lower import price of Indian yarns.

In India, PV and PC prices remained unchanged, also due to firm export price.
