	Polyester Staple Fiber Price Trends   Polyester staple fibre markets in Asia were stable to soft this week, seeing trading values slightly falling. Downstream buyers were cautiously on sidelines, and trading activities was mute, with offers notionally stable but discounts available in firm deals.     Polyester Filament Yarn Price Trends   Trading sentiment picked up slightly in Asian polyester filament yarn markets although buying activity for POY rebounded marginally, FDY and DTY market remained weak. Due to instable sentiment, players were more bearish toward market outlook, and mainly bought in smaller volumes.     Purified Terephthalic Acid Price Trends   Asian purified terephthalic acid markets were hit by weaker feedstock paraxylene prices as stable polyester offered some support. PTA markets were in corrections though gold price surged while crude oil prices were steady, lending some strength to the market.     Paraxylene Price Trends   Paraxylene prices in Asia declined in as Chinese purified terephthalic acid producers continued to sell down their paraxylene inventory amidst major producers unable to conclude their May settlement contract prices. In Europe, spot prices for paraxylene were also down on the week tracking the fall in Asian markets.     Polyester Chips - Fiber Grade Price Trends   Polyester chip markets saw marginal change this week as trading sentiment was mute in the previous week and the market stepped into stalemate this week following raw materials subdued amid mixed views about the market ahead which is lacking a clear direction.     Monoethylene Glycol Price Trends   Asian mono ethylene glycol prices increased this week amid rising inventory in East China. In the short-term the market direction was unclear, while operational risk for forward goods were relatively lower, and demand for cargoes for July and August as well for June will be passable.     Ethylene Price Trends   Ethylene prices in Asian markets firmed up this week due to tight vessel space and limited offers. Upstream, naphtha markets too were seen gaining in the last two days of the week, giving cost support to petrochemical chain. In Europe, some volumes were being offered in the pipe market last week by a trader.

	Nylon Filament Yarn Price Trends   The small rally in caprolactum and nylon chip market helped NFY prices from falling further, and some non-textile yarn started to rebound this week. Buyers from textile enterprises showed little interest to stock up in May, but market was bottoming out and there is marginal space for prices to shed lower.     Benzene Price Trends   Asian benzene prices rose at week end as demand for prompt cargoes improved but they were down week on week. European benzene market rose week on week, despite the fact the traders continued to lack a clear vision on the balance of demand and supply in the region.     Polyamide Chips Price Trends   Nylon chip markets gained a bit with caprolactum prices firming mildly while downstream nylon yarn makers were steady in purchasing resulting in healthy gains in sales chip prices. Demand for chips in downstream monofilament, fishing-net yarn and staple fiber sectors rebounded slightly and more replenishments were seen.     Caprolactum Price Trends   Caprolactum prices were stable to firm in Asian markets on range-bound raw material and steady downstream demand. Inventory levels for nylon chips increased slightly, with run rate at around 75%.

	Acrylic Staple Fiber Price Trends   Acrylic staple fibre markets were stable-to-weak during the week as transactions were lukewarm in spot market, and suppliers tended to maintain offers through output control. Downstream demand remained bearish as buyers continued to buy hand to mouth.       Acrylonitrile Price Trends   Asian acrylonitrile prices fell this week across the region on weak demand, but the fall was curbed by higher feedstock costs and sellers’ resistance. In China, sentiment continued to remain weak and pressure from liquidity and inventory eased due to some unexpected shutdowns. However, spot transactions were stalemated due to unimproved demand.       Propylene Price Trends       Viscose Chain Viscose Staple Fiber Price Trends   Viscose staple fibre prices were still on the southward trend this week, but the range was narrower and liquidity was better compared to last week. Opening the week, VSF prices kept at low levels, with some medium and large volumes of high-end VSF sold at previous week’s level.       Viscose Filament Yarn Price Trends   Viscose filament market was on a weak correction this week. Nominations were settled at an industry gathering. At start of the week, producers held back on offering low-priced goods, but gave in later in the week, noting inventory pressure caused by cautious buying.     Others Naphtha Price Trends   Asian naphtha markets regained some lost ground, with the CFR Japan H2 July crack against July ICE Brent up US$4.02 a ton day on day to be assessed at US$83.70 a ton. The Asia C&F Japan was pegged at US$ 847.00-851.75 a ton. Price rose for the first time this week on Friday to reach a three-session high of US$867.75 a ton.       Crude Oil Price Trends   Crude oil prices rose as broader markets rallied on positive US economic data. Futures rose on the back of the stock market\'s rally, which was boosted by better-than-expected US consumer data. The Standard & Poor\'s 500 Index was recently up 0.9%. Week end gains came on the heels of a volatile week for crude.       Wool Price Trends   Significant gains in wool sale this week led to increases in the EMI which closed at Aus$10.22. In US$ term, the index was at US$9.95, down US cents 2 as the Australian $ weakened substantially. West index lost the most US cents 7, while North was down US cents 5. South index inched down US cents 2.       Cotton Price Trends   Cotton markets felt the pressure from other falling commodities markets as the Thomson Reuters-Jefferies CRB, a benchmark for global commodities, edged down on losses in agricultural markets and in gold. The most-active July cotton contract on ICE Futures fell US cent 0.07 cent to settle at US cents 86.41 per pound.
