Where is bamboo fiber produced in the world?

China is considered to be rich in bamboo resources. Owing to the fact that it is relatively easy to grow bamboo since this crop has the ability to grow on any type of land and climate, bamboo is also cultivated largely in the Western countries such as the United States and Europe.

Thus, China is the largest producer of bamboo fabric followed by India, Pakistan and Indonesia. In addition, the United States also produces bamboo fabric for the country’s national consumption and does not participate in the export.

The regenerated cellulosic bamboo fiber was first manufactured in 2002 by Hebei Jigao Chemical fiber Co., Ltd. in China.
