UK show interest to set up new ventures with India in various sectors

UK looking ahead to establish new ventures in the field of textiles and garments, leather, banking and other sectors with India, said British High Commissioner Dominic Asquith today.

British High Commissioner Dominic Asquith, who called on Governor K Rosaiah was quoted as saying that UK and India are strategic partners and UK is a major trading for India. The relationship between the two countries is highly constructive and substantially economic.

Deputy High Commissioner Bharat S Joshi, Governor's Principal Secretary, Ramesh Chand Meena were among those who were present on the occasion.

Asquith further said that the Indian diaspora in UK was the largest ethnic community and that India and Britain were known for the rich cultural heritage.
