Crystal Denim, the denim division of Crystal International, has launched its first carbon footprint calculator to promote low-carbon design in the industry.

Crystal Denim has unveiled its new MyBluPrint carbon footprint calculator, which was created particularly for denim makers and measures carbon emissions for each manufacturing step along the process

MyBluPrint enables users to design a denim product on the interactive platform and then analyze data from more than 200 production steps to determine the amount of carbon emissions generated by that specific product by analyzing data traced from more than 200 manufacturing processes.

Crystal states that by launching the tool, it aims to highlight the importance of carbon reduction in every sector, including producers, merchants, and end users. Crystal Denim will continually update its algorithm and expand the data calculating process to every single pair of jeans it makes in the next phases, making the calculator more complete, after the successful introduction of MyBluPrint as the initial step.

Its introduction follows Crystal International Group Limited's public pledge to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
