Textile recycler Circ has broadened its Fibre Club programme by adding a new group of brand and supply chain partners to strengthen its textile-to-textile recycling efforts. Through this expansion, Circ aims to increase the adoption of recycled materials. The latest group of brand partners includes Madewell, which operates under J.Crew Group, sustainable fashion label Reformation, and European retailer C&A. Supply chain companies Lenzing and Linz Textil have also joined the initiative.
The programme is designed to solve long-standing issues around minimum order quantities and pricing, which have often limited the use of recycled materials in the textile sector. In the current phase, each participating brand is developing collections using TENCEL | Circ with REFIBRA technology. This material contains 30 percent Circ pulp made from recycled polycotton textile waste.
Within the supply chain, Circ provides the recycled pulp, which Lenzing converts into lyocell fibres under the TENCEL | Circ with REFIBRA platform. These fibres are then spun into yarn by Linz Textil.
Each brand chooses its own fabric and garment manufacturers to integrate the material into existing supply chains. This approach makes adoption easier for brands already working with Lenzing fibres while also expanding Circ’s production network.
