ASTG adds news capability at its US manufacturing textile plant

Aurora Specialty Textiles Group, a world class textile finisher located in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and a leader in dyeing and finishing of woven and non-woven fabrics, recently announced its investment in a new, streamlined, state-of-the-art U.S. manufacturing textile plant as it adds new capabilities like ultra-wide width coating and finishing to enter new markets.

The company also made addition to its senior management and sales staff as a result of its expansion. John Schuster, a former business unit director for GMT, has been named director of plant operations and Eric Lahoy has been appointed, sales representative, print media, western region.

Schuster will be responsible for manufacturing, shipping and receiving, purchasing, inventory control, maintenance and plant engineering. Lahoy will be responsible for expanding Aurora’s position in the wide and grand format markets in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Oregon and Washington.

ASTG over 132-years has been an innovative, worldwide provider of fabrics to a wide range of end use applications and markets. The company’s products include digitally printable textiles, pressure sensitive tapes, medical and industrial applications and home furnishings. Aurora can develop and manufacture a finished fabric to meet their customer’s specific needs.
