      A.1. What is YarnsandFibers.com?
       

    PolyesterOnline and SpunOnline have integrated to form YarnsandFibers.com, also referred to as PTR. It is positioned to be the dominant eMarketplace for the producers, traders, and consumers of yarns and fibers globally. The integrated platform has corporate membership base of companies from over 80 countries.

    YarnsandFibers provides the members a vibrant environment to do their daily business. Dynamic trading mechanisms will greatly improve the member's procurement and sales processes. This will bring about significant Supply Chain efficiencies and introduce the concept of Customer Relationship Management.

    Members have exciting features to web enable their businesses. They can create their own personalized environment, control the level of transparency, and deploy various dynamic trading mechanisms to let their businesses take advantages of the Information Technology revolution.

    In addition to trading in all kinds of yarns and fibers, members can also trade in Fabrics, Fiber Intermediates, Machinery, and Production Capacities. Coming soon are channels for Logistics, Technical Services and Packaging.

    With Integration comes a wealth of industry information such as, the Industry News channel, which looks at the Textile industry from the yarns and fibers perspective. The Features Channel carries researched reports. eLibrary is a storehouse of information regarding the Industry events, Associations world over, Terms and Definitions, Downloadable statistics and much more.

    Do I need to be a member to use it?

         

    Yes, we have separate plans for different levels of memberships. You can choose any plan based on your requirement.

    The payment by Credit Card is very safe. We use SSL, State-of-the-art encrypted, password-protected access control on our secured payment server.

    How can I upgrade to the Preferred Membership Plan from the Free Plan?

         

    To upgrade your membership, go to 'My PTR'. Then click on "Upgrade Account" link to fill in the necessary details.

    Which currency should I use for payment?

         

    All the payments will be accepted as displayed on the registration form.

         

      

       A.12.

    How do I change my address or contact information?

         

    To edit your eMail id or contact information you need to go to "My PTR" page change by clicking on 'Edit company information'.

       

      

       A.13.

    What do I do if I forget my login/password?

         

    Click on the 'Forgot Login' or 'Forgot Password' and fill in the relevant details.
    We will send you a new Password normally within 24 hours. An offline request verification is carried out to ensure the identity of the members.
    We also request Members to change the password once we have assigned a new one.

    Can I change my login or password?

         

    You cannot change your login name. However, to change your password, click on the "My PTR" tab and then go to 'Change password' link.

         

      

         


     B. Free Membership Plan
         

      

       B.1.

    I want to buy/sell. What do I do?

         

    You can post your offer to buy or sell on the Trading Zone even under the Free Membership Plan.
    Your offer will be sent automatically to all Preferred Members on the site, who will contact you directly.

         

      

       B.2.

    How do I make a posting to Buy or Sell?

         

    You can post your business offers on the Trading Zone by following the given simple steps:

  • Click on the 'Trading Zone' tab.

  • Choose from the products mentioned on the left side under the heading of "make posting".

       B.3.

    What are the benefits of posting my business offers on YarnsandFibers.com?

         

    Your posting will then be visible to all the members, globally. We market your business requirements based on your specific needs.
    In addition to this, under the Preferred Membership Plan, once you post an offer it is automatically matched, generating a business lead, also called an Auto Alert.

         

      

       B.4.

    I am looking for buyers/ suppliers of a product. What do I do?

         

    You can search for buyers or seller category wise by going to the appropriate Buy/Sell section on the Trading Zone, or eMail to us.

         

      

       B.5.

    What products can I trade in on YarnsandFibers?

    How do I search for a particular offer?

         

    If you know the posting id, type in the box under the 'Enter Posting Id' in the "Trading Zone" channel.

    What is a posting ID?

         

    It is a number automatically generated in the backend whenever a member makes a posting to buy/sell a product.

         

      

       B.8.

    I am looking for a particular company. What do I do?

         

    Enter the company name in the 'Trading Zone' under the heading "Looking for a particular company?" to get the details of that desired company.

         

      

       B.9.

    Can I edit my posting?

         

    You can edit your posting. To make corrections in your posting, go to"My PTR" --> Manage Posting section.

         

      

       B.10.

    Do I need to pay for making a posting under the Free Plan?

         

    No. You are free to post as many business offers you like.

       C.1.1.

    What is My PriceWatch?

         

    It is a service that lets you build your product list and update the prices regularly. Your product and price lists are then displayed with your customized profile called "My WebPage". This allows your customers or prospective new customers to be aware of your prices. What's more, you can historically chart your price trends. You can also compare your prices product-wise, country-wise, or company-wise with the prices of other members.

         

      

       C.1.2.

    Who are my product list and price list visible to?

         

    Your price list and product list are visible to all the members of YarnsandFibers.

         


       C.1.3.

    Where is it visible?

         

    It is visible on My WebPage and global Price Watch channel.

         

      

       C.1.4.

    Which currency should I specify?

         

    You should specify USD for the global prices or local currency for local prices.

         

        

       C.2. My Community:
         

       

       C.2.1.

    What are communities?

         

    Each business has a set of Suppliers and Customers at form that Company's Community. 'My Community' lets you bring all those existing relationships online.

         

      

       C.2.2.

    How do I make my own Community?

         

    As a Preferred Member, you can go to 'Invite Members' and select the Companies you wish to invite. If they are not members of YarnsandFibers, you can invite them using the link 'Not a PTR member- Invite'. This will send an invitation to the desired Companies.

         

      

       C.2.3.

    Do I have to pay to be a part of the communities of other companies?

         

    No. You need to be a Preferred Member only if you would like to form your own community to do effective business transactions saving valuable time and resources.

         

      

       C.2.4.

    Once I become a member what do I do?

         

    The member whose Community you belong to can then send you targeted offers. You can enter into private negotiations with him or decline the offer. You can also send mails and information to the community members.

         

       

       C.2.5.

    What happens if someone I invited declines to join my Community?

         

    You may wish to send an offline request via eMail explaining them the benefits they get at no cost to them. You may also go the 'Decline' folder to re-request, but only after one week of having received the decline.

         


       C.2.6.

    What happens if I decline someone who has invited me?

         

    You always have the choice to go to review the declines and then approve them.

         

           

       C.2.7.

    Can I send a reminder if I do not receive reply to my invitation to join my community?

         

    You can send a reminder after 48 hours of having sent the request / invitation.

         

        

       C.3. My Trading Zone:
         

        

       C.3.1.

    Do I have to pay a commission to YarnsandFibers for the transaction I do with them?

         

    No. You do not have to pay any commission to PTR for the transaction made through the eMarketplace. You have to be a Preferred Member, which attracts a nominal Subscription fee.

         

        

       C.3.2.

     How do I make an offer to Sell?

         

    As a Preferred Member you can make a targeted offer to any group within your Community or an Open offer to all. This is possible from any of the pages in My Trading Zone by choosing the category that you wish to offer.

    How do I make an offer to buy?

         

    As a Preferred Member you can target your requirement to any group within your Community or an Open offer to all. This is possible from any of the pages in My Trading Zone by choosing a category that you wish to buy.

         

        

       C.3.4.

    How do I negotiate?

         

    You will either receive or send targeted offers on you're "My PTR". You can choose to negotiate them by clicking on the appropriate link and send a counter offer.
    The entire history of your negotiation will be visible to you to decide on the offer.

         

         

        C.3.5.

    Can I reject an offer?

         

    Yes. You may reject or accept an offer at any point. The rejected and expired offers will go the Trash folder.

         


        C.3.6.

    What happens if I accept an offer?

         

    The accepted offers are then transferred to the "Contracts" section where you can prepare the final contract based on the agreed terms during the course of negotiation. Following which the Contract is transferred to your Order Tracking folder.

          

        

       C.3.7.

    How does the Order Tracking work?

         

    The supplier has the rights to update the information on the delivery. He gets screens to update delivery information such as Under Production, Under Packing, or Shipped.
    The shipping information will help the buyer track it directly with the logistics company from his "My PTR".

         

        

        C.3.8.

    How do I close the deal?

         

    Once the buyer receives the goods, he has access to the screens to fill in his information such as the date of receipt and condition. At this point the deal is closed.

       

       

       C.3.9.

    What can I learn from the Closed Deals?

         

    The buyer and the supplier can always go back and annualize the deals made by them with respect to who they have done business with during a particular period, the price trends, time involved, production time, logistics trends and more.

    My WebPage is your personal website on YarnsandFibers. It contains detailed information about your company, contact details, product list and price list.

    What are the benefits?

         

    It offers you excellent visibility within the Community giving all the necessary information. It also enhances your business prospects considerably.

         

          

       C.4.3.

    How do I upload my company image, sign, or logo?

         

    You can eMail us your Company logo and image to webmaster@yarnsandfibers.com. We will customize your WebPage and make it live.

    You can choose from a variety of other options to promote your business using the YarnsandFibers platform such as:

    What are Storefronts?

         

    Storefront is your own web space on PTR. It is the window of your company to the entire community.

    What are the benefits?

         
  • Your Company's Storefront on PTR will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to our member companies.

  • Not only does your PTR Storefront get a large number of visitors, it also gets the right kind. This will help you build your profile amongst the community and enhance your business.

  • We market aggressively, which means that your Storefront gets noticed. You may also link your company website from the YarnsandFibers Storefront.

  • In addition to other links, all your listings and postings will be highlighted with a clickable symbol, which will take the user directly to your Storefront.

  •      

        

       D.4.

    How do I make my Storefront on YarnsandFibers?

         

    Send in your request to us by filling the Storefronts form online.

         

        

       D.5.

    Can I also advertise on YarnsandFibers?

         

    You can advertise on PTR using Banner/Tiles. Banner will be placed on the location based on the targeted audience specified by the company. PTR highly concentrate on bringing value to the advertiser in terms of brand building, reach to the right people and marketing the needs. Companies looking to buy a banner space will be awarded free design of the banner.

         


       D.6.

    How else can PTR help me promote my business?

         

    Other means of promoting business on PTR:
    eMail marketing: Company can choose to avail the facility of marketing their specific business needs via eMails, thus creating high brand recall and reach to thousands of companies all over the world.

    Sponsorship or Banner on News Letter: PTR services cover a weekly News Letter to its member covering various aspects of business and news. Companies can take benefit of this tool to reach by sponsoring the News Letter or buying banner space in the News Letter.

    Channel Sponsoring: Reputed companies can choose to sponsor various channels on PTR. Company's name will be highlighted in the specific sponsored channel with a brief description and link to their web site. PTR will provide the sponsor our associate company status and market their business needs exclusively.
