A total of 2.18 million kgs of PV spun yarn was exported during July 2009 worth US$6.07 million. In comparison with previous year, the volume was down 45% while value declined 49%. Unit value realization dropped by 6%.

In July 2009 as many as 33 different counts of polyester/viscose yarn were exported. Of these, only 8 counts formed the Elite group (see Table 4.6 below) with total exports worth over US$3.31 million. The largest was 30/1 PV with earning at US$0.85 million during July 2009 and volumes at 337,000 kgs. It was followed by 37/2, 30/2 and 24/1 with each over US$0.50 million.
